Soft Knife is Femme Salée’s eighth zine issue. The entries in the zine ruminate on the glowing, resilient conviction that food is radial care. The pages weave together recipes, art, & writing. They each consider cooking as a means to move through grief with joy, ancestral foodways that embrace expansive commitments to kinship, recipes as living memories, & food as diasporic storytelling, companion in solitude, & tenacious commitment to fortifying ourselves.
