Peanut Gall’ry is Femme Salée’s ninth zine issue. “The Peanut Gall’ry” takes back the slur “peanut gallery” by comparing the importance & usefulness of the peanut plant to the integral nature of Black culture in America. Black culture has always been seen as lesser, even though it’s the very essence of American culture. Whether it’s music, fashion, food, vernacular, dancing, etc., Black culture continues to be simultaneously undervalued & appropriated en masse throughout the world.
